Product Introduction
The RNA Storage Solution is designed to resuspend the purified RNA. Because of RNA’s weak structural stability and RNase’s ubiquitous existence, RNA is prone to degradation. When RNA is isolated by silicon membranes or precipitated by Ethanol or Isopropanol, it is crucial to elute the RNA from RNA columns or re-suspend the RNA pellet with RNase-free solution. This RNA Storage Solution with low pH and chelating agent (Sodium Citrate) meets the requirement for RNA elution and/or re-suspension, and efficiently minimizes the potential loss due to base hydrolysis. Compared with nuclease-free water or TE buffer, RNA Storage Solution provides greater protection of RNA. The RNA Storage Solution is compatible with all downstream RNA applications such as reverse transcription, in vitro transcription, Northern Blot, and nucleus protection assays.
The principal component of RNA Storage Solution is 1 mM Sodium Citrate, pH 6.5.+/-0.1.
Storage and Handling Conditions
Shipped at ambient temperature. Stored at -20℃ upon receiving, valid for 24 months.
Assay Protocol / Procedures
The RNA Storage Solution is ready to use. Add an appropriate volume of the RNA Storage Solution to an RNA pellet and vortex until completely dissolved, or to a RNA column to elute the RNA.
